Description: Choreographer Trisha Brown, had been addresses spatial relationships since the inception of her work (Yee 19). "Roof Piece" is a performance across a ten block area of Soho, in which dancers were positioned in a sequence of different rooftops so they could transmit gestures to one another (Yee 19). Roof Piece which was preformed in 1971 at 53 Wooster to 381 Lafayette Street, then again on June 24, 1973 at 420 West Broadway to 35 White Street. The performance included twelve dancers and last thirty minutes.
