[Description based on: no. 5, published in October 1994; title from cover.]
Angsty, prolific Staten Island zinester Lauren Martin's high school zine is about riot grrrl, politics, and and women's issues as well as essays about her self and her future. A vegetarian and an artist, she fills the pages with illustrations and recipes as well. Lauren was online in the mid-90s, subscribed to Sassy, and loved Suzuki Beane.

ISSUE CONTENT

In this issue, the author lists the reasons she made zines:

"1. Had a lot of poetry that needed publishing

2. Fell in love with zines after seeing them at Tower Books and ordering from Action Girl Newsletter.

3. Needed something to trade instead of always sending stamps or cash.

4. Had no friends and no life, therefore had plenty of time on my hands.

5. Extremely depressed. Needed an emotional outlet.

6. Chance to meet loads of fabulous people. Uh ... that's all I can think of" (Martin, 2).
