Walking tour stop description: The historic buildings around the Northeast corner of City Hall Park, including the Tweed Courthouse, the Federal Building and the Surrogate's Courthouse have been used for innumerable film and television shoots, especially those involving legal drama, municipal politics and such. Films like Kramer vs. Kramer (1979), The Verdict (1982), Great Expectations (1998), The Devil Wears Prada (2006), Ghostbusters (1984), Crocodile Dundee (1986), have filmed inside and outside of these buildings (sometimes using them to stand in for other buildings), as well as television dramas like Law & Order. One of the Civic Center buildings, the Surrogate's Courthouse on the Northwest Corner of Chambers Street and Centre Street, is a stop on the Musical New York walking tour.
