Additional Information: WORD is a neighborhood bookstore located in Greenpoint that takes pride in being involved with the surrounding community and getting to know customers in order to make recommendations. The store's space is only 850 square feet, but packs a lot of charm into a small space.

“I always try to have a good selection of things,” Ms. Onorati said, “so that people can feel like every time they come in, they’ll be surprised by something. Navigating books is the fun thing.”
If you need help adjusting your compass, the small team of employees will survey your likes and dislikes to suggest your next favorite book.
“You know those perfumeries or apothecaries that mix your specific scent?” Lauren Bundy, 27, a graduate student at the New School, said while browsing Roberto Bolaño novels. “It’s like that, with books. I love it here.”
