Description: Dick Higgins' Intermedia Chart examines the relationship between Fluxus and like minded movements represented by overlapping circles (Higgins 105). The connections Higgins provides are not based in stylistic influence, but can be explored on four levels according to Hannah Higgins. The four levels, include (1) stylistic, (2) experimental, (3) socio-historical) and (4) ideological ((Higgins 105). In the 1960s and 1970s "Happenings", conceptual and pop art were major movements. The Intermedia Chart examines Fluxus' relationship to those three other movements (Higgins 105).
