Walking tour stop description: Founded in 1902, Greenwich House added a music school in 1905, and has been at its present location on Barrow Street since 1914. Famous alums include New York City mayor Ed Koch and modernist composer John Cage. The music school houses a 90-seat auditorium where concerts are held regularly, and Greenwich House's main building around further along the block at 27 Barrow Street also has a performance space.
