DESCRIPTION

This project, initiated as a graduate seminar/studio in the Department of Media Studies and Film at The New School in Fall 2010, is dedicated to excavating and mapping the networks and layers of mediation that have shaped New York as a material city, an idea, and an experience. We are especially interested in finding the spaces where these networks overlap and intersect, and exploring how "residual media" inform and lay a foundation for our modern media networks.
